Visit Us — 24/7 Playing Card Shop in Tokyo

Not a tobacco shop, despite the name (and the sign).
A 24/7 playing card shop in Tokyo
Uso no Tobacco-ten ("fake tobacco shop") is a playing card specialty store in Asakusabashi, Tokyo. The walls hold hundreds of decks: designer and collector editions from around the world, cardistry and magic decks, Japanese-motif cards, and hanafuda. The shop runs unattended, 24 hours a day — you let yourself in, pick your decks, and check out at a self-service kiosk. At 3 p.m. or 3 a.m.

How to buy
- Walk in. The door is open even when no staff are around.
- Pick your decks from the shelves.
- Scan them at the kiosk. Tap the EN button (top right of the screen) for English. Scan each barcode, or select products on screen.
- Pay on the terminal. Credit card (Visa / Mastercard / JCB / Amex), transit IC cards (Suica etc.), or mobile wallet. Cashless only — no cash accepted.
Hours: always open, sometimes staffed
The shop is open 24/7. From Thursday to Sunday, in the afternoon, staff are in and the space runs as a small cafe & bar — coffee, drinks, and card talk. The rest of the time, the shop looks after itself.

The only cigarette in the shop is on the wall, and even it says no.
